Idol-turned-actress Jooyeon got teary-eyed at her After School graduation and fan club event.

Japanese media outlet Sankei Sports reported on March 24, "Jooyeon, who left her team to follow an acting career, shed tears at the fan club event held at the Negishi Tokyo Cinema in Tokyo on the 20th." The event was held in part to celebrate After School's first best-of album in Japan, and Jooyeon also received her graduation diploma from the group.

Twelve hundred fans gathered to give their support and say goodbye to Jooyeon. She said at the event, "I'm happy I got to meet you all today too. This is my last time as a part of After School. I'm very sad, but I'll show you a better side of myself in the future. I'll work hard as an actress from now on. Thank you so much. I wanted to end it with a smile, but I'm so overwhelmed, my tears came out. I won't be able to stand on stage with my members anymore, but if a good opportunity arises, I hope we get together."

Member Nana consoled her, saying, "We won't be apart forever, so don't be too sad," whileJung Ah said, "It's been 7 years since I met Jooyeon since the trainee days. I trust that she'll succeed as an actress, and I'll support her quietly from afar."

Jung Ah and Jooyeon showed off dignified poses and confident eyes, displaying their matured charms in the pictures. Their beautiful, perfect figures will surely captivate the eyes of the beholder.

On July 2, it was announced through After School′s official Japanese website that "Juyeon shot a Japanese lingerie commercial alone."

She is the first member to shoot a solo commercial in the group.

The commercial will show her walking proudly in lingerie, with the caption, ′What makes a girl beautiful is not the man; it′s the lingerie.′

Juyeon said after the shoot, "I was nervous because it was my first commercial alone, but I was able to have fun thanks to the friendly staff."

The role that Jooyeon will most likely take on is Eun Woo. Her character has an excellent martial arts skills and well versed in corpses and medicine. Eun Woo is a guard warrior who secretly loves the young 19-year-old king Lee Geo.

‘Jeon Woo Chi’ is a fusion martial arts drama that is based on a novel. The main characters will be played by actor Cha Tae Hyun and fellow After School member Uee.

After School‘s Jooyeon has been confirmed for KBS‘s drama ‘Jeon Woo Chi‘.

She will be playing the role of a secret bodyguard named Eun Woo. Not only is Eun Woo equipped with excellent martial arts skills, but the character also is well versed in corpses and medicine. She will also play the role of a bodyguard who secretly loves the young 19-year-old king Lee Geo. Jooyeon is currently practicing martial arts to play the role of Eun Woo as best as she can. A representative from the drama stated, “Because she plays the role of a bodyguard, she has a lot of martial arts parts. But Jooyeon is doing well with the intense training.”

Fellow After School member UEE is already signed up as the female lead for the drama, and this will be the first time the two ladies will be in a drama together. Jooyeon has played only small or cameo roles before, in the dramas ‘Smile, Donghae‘ and ‘Reply 1997‘.
