Recently, After School posted on their Weibo, “With Yoo Jae Suk of China! It was fun, we’ll go to China next time!” along with a picture.

In the picture, members of After School and NU’EST are posing together after eating dinner.

The MC that appeared in the picture is He Jiong, who is called the Yoo Jae Suk of China. He is the main MC of popular shows in China, rising in popularity.

In the picture, Uee drew in cartoon-character-like eyes on her face.

Internet users who saw this commented, “She’s really like an anime character in real life,” “What are you filming for?,” etc.

Group After School attended the ‘WAPOP: World & Asia+WOW POP’ press conference and stated that they would work hard to be a group that will be known worldwide.

On August 27, After School attended this concert and commented, “We are so happy to be able to help in spreading the Hallyu around the world with this new concert concept. We will work hard to become a grow that will be an asset to the K-pop culture.”

130823 UEE considers drama lead

Another K-pop star is looking to make the jump into acting via the small screen after singer IU made a splash with her acting debut in the KBS weekend drama “Lee Soon-sin is the Best“.

UEE, of the popular girl group After School, appears to be following in IU‘s footsteps.

It was reported yesterday that UEE is considering playing the lead character in MBC’s upcoming weekend drama “Golden Rainbow“.

The drama will depict the lives of seven orphans who grew up together in a town near the ocean. UEE will be playing the oldest of the seven, named Baekwon, who later turns out to be the granddaughter of a local conglomerate boss.

Actress Kim Yoo-jeong, of the MBC drama “The Sun and the Moon”, will play a younger version of Baekwon.

The drama is scheduled to air in November.
