121030 After School′s Uee Flies with a Cold Face for ′Woochi′

Uee will be appearing as Hong Mu Yeon, a woman who loved Jeon Woochi but comes under a spell and is controlled by evil.

Her first shoots took place on October 7 and 8 in Naju. Mu Yeon this day came under a spell and attacked her grandfather′s country, Yuldo, and her lover Jeon Woochi. She flew through the air and cast her magic as she attacked.

The scene was Uee′s first using wires and so she showed her fear at first, but once shooting commenced she perfected her cuts with some light moves. Her realistic attacks drew applause from the staff who had been on set.

Uee said about the shoot, "I′ve never been on wires before so I was scared and worried about the shoot at first, but once I started it was more entertaining than I thought it would be, so I had fun."

A rep from the drama′s production company said, "Uee surprised the staff by taking on action scenes that even men find hard to act in with her athletic skills. Please look forward to what transformations Uee will take on for the drama."

Woochi is a fusional period piece based on the classic novel Jeon Woochi. it is about how a guru from Yuldo named Jeon Woochi tries to avenge his father-figure, Hong Gil Dong, and his lover Hong Mu Yeon.

The drama will be produced by Kang Il Soo, the man behind the dramas Emperor Wang Gun, Emperor of the Sea andLand of Wind, with a script written by scriptwriter Jo Myung Joo, of the drama Gwanggaeto the Great Conquerer. It stars Cha Tae Hyun, Lee Hee Jun, Baek Jin Hee, Sung Dong Il, Kim Gap Soo and Hong Jong Hyun. Its premiere is scheduled for November after Nice Guy wraps.

Lizzy of Orange Caramel and After School, recently wore the same dress to film an episode of ‘Rascal Sons‘.

121030 UEE attends ’2012 S/S Seoul Fashion Week BIGPARK Fashion Show’

UEE was recently spotted at designer Park Yunsu‘s ‘2012 S/S Seoul Fashion Week BIGPARKFashion Show‘ that took place recently.

Her agency Pledis Entertainment said, “UEE has always been interested in designer Park Yunsu’s fashion and confessed that she really wanted to attend the show. She has previously even personally picked out the white tiger printed jacket by the designer to wear in photoshoots. The clothes that she wore to the fashion show were also clothes that Park Yunsu specifically sent to her as a present.”

The ’2012 Fall Seoul Fashion Week’ was held for seven days and a total of 60 designers including Park Yunsu, Jung Kwang Hyo, Lee Sang Bong, Go Tae Yong, Lee Seung Hee, and Choi Cheol Yong, participated and displayed their new collections.

On another note, UEE will be returning to the small screen in November in the follow up drama for ‘Nice Guy‘, ‘Jeon Woo Chi‘.

121030 Kahi promises to visit Mighty Mouth’s Sangchu during his army service

Kahi promised that she would visit her good friend, Mighty Mouth‘s Sangchu, in the army.

The singer tweeted on the 30th, “Goodbye Sangchu! You’ll do fine in the army. Fighting! I’ll take kimbap and go visit you. Be healthy. Haha,” along with a photo of the two friends.

Sangchu’s short hair also attracted attention as it was cut short for his enlistment.

TEEN TOP‘s Niel, who is known as a huge fan of Orange Caramel‘s Lizzy, revealed he prefers After School‘s UEE.

Orange Caramel appeared as guests for the October 31st episode of MBC Every1‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘, where they participated in a ‘hanwoo beef’ segment. Depending on the missions they completed, the members of Orange Caramel were treated to a piece of premium Korean beef.

The show called Niel of TEEN TOP, who stated over the phone, “Among the After School members, I like Lizzy nuna and her cute dialect the most.” However, when hosts Defconn and Jung Hyung Donasked how she ranked in terms of appearance, he answered, “Honestly, she’s third place in terms of looks.”

Niel then added that After School’s UEE is the best looking member of the group.

This episode of ‘Weekly Idol’ will broadcast on the 31st at 6PM KST.

After over a month of promotions, Orange Caramel has concluded their promotions for “Lipstick” with their goodbye stage on the October 27th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Music Core’. To express their gratitude to the fans, the girls released a tutorial video for their latest title song.

On October 29, Orange Caramel released ‘Let’s Dance’, a tutorial video that explains the full choreography points for their latest catchy track, “Lipstick”.

Joo Won and UEE, former on-screen couple, reunited to visit their alma mater, Sungkyunkwan University, and cheer on students who are currently burdened down with their studies.

The two handed out care packages that included snacks, notebooks, gift certificates, and drinks to the students, further showing their support for their hoobaes. Other celebrities such as Goo Hye Sun andTony An participated in the same campaign at their own alma maters as well.

121022 Lizzy wraps up her first filming session for ‘Rascal Sons’

After School‘s Lizzy has finished her first filming for new MBC drama ‘Rascal Sons‘.

Having confirmed the idol for the show, the drama production company revealed, ”Lizzy will be playing the new role of Yuri starting on the 27th. She had her first filming on the 21st.” Her character Yuri is the granddaughter of a hostel owner. She dreams of being a writer, and falls in love with Ryu Soo Young’s character, a novelist.

A few photos of her on set of the shoot were also revealed in which we are able to get a glimpse of what we can expect to see from Lizzy’s character.

The production company also added, “Since she is from Busan, she will also be acting using satoori [dialect],” further increasing anticipation for her role for Lizzy has been labeled as the original ‘satoori idol’.

121022 After School’s Lizzy confirmed for MBC weekend drama, ‘Rascal Sons’

After School‘s Lizzy has been confirmed to take on a new acting role on the currently-airing MBCweekend drama, ‘Rascal Sons‘.

Acting alongside seasoned veterans Ryu Soo Young and Seo In Guk, Lizzy will be playing a newcomer who speaks her mind, aimed towards the current three-way relationship between the main characters.

“She was chosen over many strong applicants, and successfully completed her first filming last week,”said a representative for the drama. Her role on ‘Rascal Sons’ will be her first in a drama, following her debut with the sitcom ‘All My Love‘ last year.

121019 Cha Tae Hyun, After School’s Uee, Juyeon and Others Hold First Script Reading for ‘Woochi’

Upcoming drama, Woochi is in full pre-production mode and has already completed its first script reading.

On October 3, some 30 cast members of the upcoming historic drama, Woochi, gathered at the KBS Hall in Yeoido to hold their first script reading.

The actors familiarized themselves with each other and held their first rehearsal over the course of four hours. Starring Cha Tae Hyun, Uee, Baek Jin Hee, Hong Jong Hyun and more, the atmosphere was said to be positive and light showing the great chemistry between the actors even before production had begun.

A production member shared, “Though it was the first gathering, the chemistry was beyond our expectations. We will create a new ‘Jeon Woochi’ myth with these passionate actors.”

The premiere episode of Woochi will take place after the conclusion of Nice Guy.

121021 Kwanghee will go to the grave with After School’s UEE?

Kwanghee confessed his first love was After School‘s UEE.

On the 20th’s episode of ‘We Got Married‘, Kwanghee and Sunhwa talked about their first loves. The conversation started when the on-screen couple was talking about famous maxims, and Kwanghee quoted, “A man’s first love follows him to the grave.” Sunhwa was put out at his mention of first love, but tried to cover it up by joking, “Bye“.

However, Kwanghee did not notice her mood and said, “Does that mean I have to go with UEE?“. Sunhwa snapped back, “I guess I have to go with Siwan oppa, then.”

The viewers laughed but, a few critics pointed out that Kwanghee could be a little more sensitive to Sunhwa, saying, “It’s a joke, but she must still get jealous“, and “Kwanghee just doesn’t get women“.
